Comme la vie est fantastique en France and other parts too!

I started this blog in 2006 as a way to stay in touch with friends and family while I was living and working as an English Language Assistant in Nantes, France. Since then, I've become a bit of a "blogger", sharing my adventures on the town, exploring new areas by bike, and any other random details that come along.

Fun Times

Well I had a smashing birthday and and have been having fun these past 2 weeks. Jeffrey and I had a fun time up in San Francisco this past weekend, and I continue to play around with my camera, experimenting with taking pictures. I had to take Monday off work to get my birth certificate translation approved at the consulate. The weather was beautiful which was unexpected. In two years of commuting to the city every day for class, I have to say it was more often nice and sunny up there than not.

We had a little after work get together on Tuesday. It was fun. I went home earlier than some of the girls, and it looks like they had a really fun time. It was nice to get to hang out with everyone outside of work and say goodbye.

Tonight I'm meeting up with my Mom and Ehmie to go over everything concerning Pokey. Things are starting to get finalized as the days go by. I've started making plans to get together with friends and family one last time. I think this will be the hardest part of this whole process, and it's getting a little sad for me. I know things will be better once I'm in France getting settled. Right now I just see and am reminded of all the things that I will miss about life in California.

The weather is changing too, and we're starting to have some fall days. It's starting to get a little chilly in the mornings. I imagine it will be even cooler in Nantes, though I'm looking forward to experiencing a different climate.
