Comme la vie est fantastique en France and other parts too!

I started this blog in 2006 as a way to stay in touch with friends and family while I was living and working as an English Language Assistant in Nantes, France. Since then, I've become a bit of a "blogger", sharing my adventures on the town, exploring new areas by bike, and any other random details that come along.

Fiesole

Well if a picture really is worth a thousand words, I guess technically, I don't need to write anything. Haha. I crack myself up.
So the vacation couldn't be going better. I have seen so many wonderful things. Went to the David on Sunday, and just my luck, it was free- just that day in honor of the death of some famous woman. It definitely lived up to my expectations, and if I ever make it back to Florence, I would go and visit him again.
Yesterday we took a little trip to Fiesole and saw ruins dating back to 600 B.C. Pretty impressive and the boys enjoyed running around. They have to be quite in the apartment, careful walking on busy streets, well-behaived in restaurants, so I think it was great for them to just let loose.
I have eaten some of the best food of my life here. Josh and Marina both are amazing cooks and since they've been here before, they know all the best places to eat. We've also discovered some new ones together.
Last night I watched Bridget Jones 2 in Italian. We've been drinking fabulous winess and I treated myself to a glass of limoncello on Valentine's day.
I'm kinda all over the place right now. It's wonderful and odd to see people from home; equally strange to think about that I consider going "home" to be when I get back to France on Sunday. Time is really flying by, and for the most part, I'm not exactly looking forward to returning to the states. I don't miss anyTHING about living there just friends, family, and my animals. Other than that, I would consider life to be full and rich here. I guess I was also extremely lucky to have made the good friends I have in Nantes (you know who you are).
